Looking at another of you recent posts you told us you recently started a new medication and hopefully these will kick in soon and will help you to feel better about things. It doesn't sound like they are too concerned but if symptoms are ongoing they may be able to arrange some further tests to put your mind at ease, so do talk to them when you get a chance. I'm afraid no one on the forum is able to diagnose you or tell you what the matter is and comparing your situation to others is unlikely to be all that helpful to you. There is also Anxiety UK and the mental health charity MIND may be able to help. It may be helpful to look at some pages of information on the NHS website which is written specifically for people with anxiety and depression. I am unsure if you have discussed this with your GP or not. In terms of your having bad anxiety, this must be dreadful for you and I would imagine that this is having a negative impact on your quality of life. We are often contacted by people who tell us about their symptoms and ask why might be the matter, but as a nurse replying by email I am afraid that I cannot reliably tell you what might be wrong. It seems that your doctors think that you have a viral infection and this certainly sounds plausible. Viral ilnesses can often take quite some time to clear up. I am sorry to learn that you are not feeling so well.
